The optical sorter consists of a frame in which a fast-running belt is mounted. The processed product is evenly divided across the belt by means of an infeed vibrator and can also be aligned on the belt. One or more lighting systems provide good illumination of the product.
Defects and foreign elements on the products are scanned and identified
by means of line scan cameras.
The computers, which are connected to the cameras, actuate the ejection
unit which ensures that each rejected product piece is blown out of the
product line. The check and approved product continues its way through
the production line. If necessary, the product can be returned to the infeed
of the sorter in order to be re-checked.
The Visionair can easily be installed in various positions in the production line. Kiremko has the in-house ability to carry out the complete engineering of the optical sorter. This means: supply of the machinery including infeed vibrator, defect-return and double-check systems, routing and installation into a new or existing production line.
The Visionair has a modular construction, meaning that the frame of the machine can easily be adjusted to suit the processing of many kinds of products. Inside the housing various detection positions. Sorting by means of UV- or IR- light or even by laser detection is also possible. The Kiremko Visionair is constructed according to the current CE regulations and where possible built of stainless steel.
